The Council of The Village of Grand Rapids convened in regular session from
7:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Grand Rapids Town Hall.
Mayor Judy Keifer called the meeting to order with the following members and
visitors present:

Erdody made a motion, seconded by Williams, to approve the minutes of the
November 22, 2010 meeting.

Erdody made a motion, seconded by Lewis, to approve the bills dated November
23rd through December 13th, 2010.

ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
The Administrator gave his report. A copy will be attached to the official
minutes. The one ton truck needs a new undercarriage tool box. A new aluminum
box was ordered.
He reported that 7 of the commercial businesses have not complied with the new backflow prevention. We will be sending a reminder this week. He advised Council that the Village will pick up live Christmas trees the first week of January.
The pharmacy will no longer be in operation in the Village as of December 20th. They will stop collecting utility payments through the end of business December 15th. Bills will need to be mailed, paid at the office, or paid via the Automatic Draft Program.
FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT:
The Fiscal Officer distributed the November Bank Reconciliation and Fund Status
reports to Council in their Friday Packets. The Revenue Status and Appropriation
Status reports for the same month were distributed to the Finance Committee.
She also advised Council of the need for a supplemental appropriation as the result of the change in market value of the UBS investments. Erdody acknowledged the $800 supplemental appropriation as submitted.
SHERIFF'S REPORT:
Deputy Mormile gave the Sheriff's report.
COMMITTEES:
Berry gave his report for the Committee of the Whole. A copy will be attached to
the official minutes.
Erdody made a motion, seconded by Berry, to order the Labino Park shelter using the funds we've received from the Wood County Park District last year and this year in the amount of $11,686.00.

Erdody made a motion, seconded by Williams, to install a split rail fence at the south end of Bridge Street along village properties to keep vehicles off the grass.

ORDINANCES:
The Fiscal Officer gave a third reading to Resolution 2010-10 A
Resolution Approving the Adopted Revised Draft of the Wood County Solid Waste
Management Plan. Hutchison made a motion, seconded by Erdody, to
pass Resolution 2010-10.

The Fiscal Officer gave a third reading to Ordinance 2010-6 2011 Annual
Appropriations. Hutchison made a motion, seconded by Williams, to
declare Ordinance 2010-6 2011 Annual Appropriations an emergency.

Berry made a motion, seconded by Lewis, to authorize the Fiscal Officer to pay

The Mayor requested that everyone brings their calendar to the next meeting so they can set a meeting date with the Trustees.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Mayor advised Council that Santa will be at the fire hall Wednesday,
December 15th at 7:00 pm.
