The Council of The Village of Grand Rapids convened in regular session from 7:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Grand Rapids Town Hall. Mayor Judy Keifer called the meeting to order with the following members and visitors present:

Williams - Present

Berry - Present

EMPLOYEES: Chad Hoffman, Karen Rader

VISITORS: Chuck Thomas, Deputy Brian Bonnough

MINUTES:
Erdody made a motion, seconded by Williams, to accept the minutes of the June 28, 2010 the correction of Hutchison being excused.

Votes were: Hutchison - yes Erdody - yes
Williams - yes Berry -yes  

Minutes Approved

BILLS:
Erdody made a motion, seconded by Hutchison, to pay the bills from June 29th thru July 12, 2010.

Votes were: Erdody - yes Williams - yes
Berry - yes Hutchison - yes  

Bills Approved

INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS:
Chuck Thomas was introduced as the representative for the Historical Society's Application for Use of Public Property for the 2010 Applebutter Fest. (Lewis arrived at 7:37 pm) He advised Council there will be a meeting tomorrow at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall.

Williams left the meeting temporarily.

Hutchison made a motion, seconded by Erdody, to allow the Historical Society to use public property for the 34th Applebutter Fest.

Votes were: Lewis - yes Williams - not in room for vote
Berry - yes Hutchison - yes Erdody - yes

 Motion Approved

ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
The Administrator gave his report. A copy will be attached to the official minutes. (Williams returned.)

He also advised Council that our budgeted vs. appropriated amounts are right where they should be.

A Parks Committee meeting was set for Thursday, July 15th at 6:30 pm.

FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT:
The Fiscal Officer distributed the June Bank Reconciliation and Fund Status reports to Council in their Friday Packets. The Revenue Status and Appropriation Status reports for the same month were distributed to the Finance Committee.

The Fiscal Officer presented Council with the 2011 Estimate of Revenues.

Erdody made a motion, seconded by Lewis, to approve the Estimate of Revenues for the Budget year beginning January 1, 2011.

Erodody - yes Lewis - yes  

 Motion Approved

SHERIFF'S REPORT:
Deputy Brian Bonnough was here on behalf of the Sheriff's Department. He advised Council that he is assigned to our area until school starts.

COMMITTEES:
Berry gave his report on the Safety & Utilities Committee reports.

Berry made a motion, seconded by Lewis, to send Mr. Dougherty a letter denying his request.

Votes were: Berry - yes Hutchison -yes Erdody - yes
Lewis - yes Williams - yes  

 Motion Approved

A Safety Committee was set for Thursday, July 15th at 7:00 pm.

Hutchison made a motion, seconded by Williams, to adjourn.

 Motion Approved

The meeting was adjourned. The next scheduled meeting is July 26, 2010 at 7:30 P.M. at the Grand Rapids Town Hall.
