ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
The Administrator gave his report. A copy will be attached to the official minutes.

The Administrator advised Council of the purchase of a chain saw by the Village for use around the town for removal of broken limbs, etc. One use would make up for the cost if we had to contract out the job.

He also advised Council of the calling of two bonds and the repurchase of new bonds to replace the ones being called.

The Administrator wanted to give Meg Addison from Toledo Edison an atta girl for her quick response to his call regarding a limb that fell on an electric line at the Ball Diamonds. Had they not gotten it taken care of, the week-end tournaments would have been cancelled. The Mayor told Mr. Hoffman that the Youth baseball group thanked him for his efforts.

He explained to council need to purchase of more fertilizer to apply to the Pirates Memorial Park. There will probably be the need for a third application in the future to try to keep the grass from dying. He told Council that the soil trucked in wasn't very good and lacked in necessary nutrients. He also said that hopefully by continuing to fertilize and get good grass roots growing, it will help bring up the quality of the soil.

He also advised Council that Mr. Marsh sent a letter to the Township Trustees regarding the Town Hall.

READING OF COMMUNICATIONS:
The Mayor read a letter from Suburban Natural Gas regarding their Infrastructure Replacement Program. Council requested a representative from Suburban to attend a meeting and explain it.

COMMITTEES:
Erdody advised Council that they have completed the repairs to the Town Hall. She also advised Council that there was an incident over the week-end that calls for better communication between those that rent the Town Hall and the Town Hall Board of Control.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Erdody questioned the status on the junk letters, etc. Nothing has been finalized at this time.
Mayor Keifer stressed the importance of following through and following up when dealing with issues that come before Council.

The Safety & Welfare Committee set a meeting for July 6, 2010 @ 6:30 pm at the Administration Building. The Utilities Committee will meet immediately following. The topic is property clean up and street lighting.

Hoffman advised Council that the only way to avoid having the "licensed" trailers parking on the public street is to come up with some kind of parking limitations.

ADJOURNMENT:
Erdody made a motion, seconded by Hall, to adjourn.

Votes were: Williams - yes  Berry - yes  Hall - yes
Erdody - yes Lewis - yes

The meeting was adjourned. The next scheduled meeting is July 12, 2010 at 7:30 P.M. at the Grand Rapids Town Hall.
